I have a 2000 Honda accord EX (4Cyl) with an oil leak from the side of the distributor. I looked at previous posts and the recommendation is to change the O ring and the inner seal, if it needs it. My question is if changed the distributor with a new one does the timing needs to be a adjusted.

 

Shouldn't. '96-02 OBDII distributor top bolt hole is not slotted and does not allow any adjustment. Verify the rotor is pointing in the same direction as the old one before removal.
Unbolt old, bolt on new.
