Hondata s300 on zc crx
Hello, I'm planning to Hondata s300 on my turbo DOHC ZC CRX. Has anyone done this process, or know of any write ups? I'm looking to do an obd0 to obd1 conversion, run hondata s300 and upgrade to Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors with a bigger fuel rail. I just am looking for some advice to make sure I'm going to get the right parts.
I need hondata s300 in a p28, obd1 jumper harness, obd1 distributor, ID injectors, and fuel rail correct? Are there any parts I'm missing?
Will an obd1 dizzy from any d series work?
Top hats for the ID injectors should be for a normal D series i assume?
And will an aftermarket fuel rail for a D series work, are those fuel rails pretty generic and maybe work from other series engines? I'm going to source what I can used, so if parts from other series engines fit that will open up my options. Thanks!!

You should get top hats with the injectors, that dealer shield be able to determine what you need. A d16a6 fiel rail will probably work.
If you want the distributor to fit perfect you need the obd1 zc distributor.

The whole thing about injectors floating around is false. You "can" update to the newer injector by doing some wiring and remove the stock injector resistor "OR", you just leave the stock injectors and resistor in there and it will work fine
Thanks for the info! I'll look into getting an obd1 dizzy in. And I'm not looking for another stock rail, I'm looking into AEM or some other brand aftermarket rail. Sounding like a lot of aftermarket ones have multiple bolt holes to fit different engines.
And getting the correct top hats is sounding like what I need! Thanks. I'm not looking to keep the stock injectors because I'm going with a higher hp build. I'm getting rid of my 450cc for 1000s.

i didnt tell you what brand I told you what type. in other words an aem rail that fits a d16a6 or d16a1 is what you wold look at. many of the aftermarket rails do have several bolt/stud holes, however if they will not fit the engines mentioned you will be on your own modifying them.
i am assuming you are pretty confident of making well over 500 whp if you NEED an aftermarket rail.

Oh I got you, sorry I misunderstood you there. Thanks for the info. And no I'm shooting for 400 range. My tuner recommended going ahead and getting a rail to be safe
Would be a waste of money but if you go with e85 its for sure needed to support the extra flow. B series are hitting 500-600 on stock rails though. Aftermarket rail does make it easier to change lines though, i drilled and tapped a stock rail to allow use of AN fittings and after market FPR. Sounds like you have a pretty cool set up though, if I had not rebuilt my d16a6 i would have done a dohc zc.

Well that's good to know, if they're pulling that off I should be fine. I don't plan on running e85 anytime soon. I already have an aem FPR, but stock lines. Guess I'll see how it does whenever dyno day comes. And thanks! It's a pretty fun project and unique
