This car consists of a drivers seat, full dash(airbags included) and the NOS bottle in the trunk area, still has the front, middle, and rear impact/stiffeners attached to the car. Before tuning the car was running a 12.6-12.8, after tuning it was running a consistant 12.2.

extremely nice tq numbers. How does the motor run with the nitrous? What kit are you using, direct port or a wet kit?

All that I know is that it's a NOS kit, with a progressive controller. The NOS is induced in the AEM ~18" before the throttle body, additional fuel added in via +20psi fuel pressure. The car runs great off of the NOS.

Thanks, but it's not my car, it's a friend who doesn't post on Honda-Tech and the tuning was all done at DynoSpot Racing in San Jose.

Your torque #s should actually be higher. My R did:

50 shot NOS kit - 226.4whp/ 187.xx torque
70 shot NOS kit w/ Walbro 230.xx whp/ 193.xx torque

Pinhead's R did 230 xx/211.xx torque on 100 shot direct

What did the car trap when it was un-tuned?

<not a big fan of nitrous but those are some good numbers and kinda makes me wonder.

What type of supporting parts did your car have?

Injen CAI, JDM 4-1 (or is it a JDM DC 4-1?), testpipe.. FPR.. eventually a walbro..

that's all I recall him having. Stock ECU, no VAFC, etc.

power figures look good, 1/4 mile times sound good, but get ready for new pistons and rings...

NOS on STOCK motor is completely absolutely retarded and is a waste of money now and in the future... IMHO

whatever. spread more ignorant bullshit please, we like that here.

Properly maintained, tuned and monitored it's just as reliable as any other form of FI.

"we like that here" lol, who is we? i guess im not part of the "we" huh. gosh darn

"ignorant bullshit" im speaking from experience captain, get it right.

NOS on STOCK INTERNALS is a ridiculously STUPID IDEA, just like FORCED INDUCTION on STOCK INTERNALS is a stupid idea.

Only when there's an idiot controlling it.

200shot on stock internals = stupid, 50 shot = friendly., 75 shot = friendly.

t3/t4 at 1 bar = stupid, .5 bar = fine.

Tuned correctly and intelligently and you wont have issues. Sure, it will wear out faster, but I think that's understood since it's always harder on the motor with such mods. But saying it's a stupid idea in a gross generalization is ******* retarded.

edit: Oh, and if NOS is stupid, what about the other manufacturers of Nitrous Oxide systems?

He is totally right...as long as it is properly managed from the ECU and enough fuel is introduced (meaning it is tuned) then you shouldn't have a problem. Any type of FI is going to be detrimental if you go overboard...in moderation it isn't a problem. Just do it right.

TO me, any shot of NOS over 50 is wreckless on a stock motor. and i know of tuned motors w/ proper setups with stock internals grenading off 75shots of NOS.

N2O is great on a purpose built motor , but ive experienced what it can do to JE pistons on a Properly setup turbo motor thats why i say its stupid to do on STOCK Motor. IT WAS AN EXTREMELY COSTLY ordeal .... SOMEONE WHO IS GOING TO USE N2O, SHOULD JUST GO AHEAD AND BUY FORGED PISTONS/ RINGS/ RODS/ LABOR now instead of having do it in the future.

if your investing in slicks and no interior and injectors/ hondata/ fuel pump, y not do the most important? pistons/rods/head bolts

to me, if your gonnna just do 8psi or less or 75shot or less, just so you can use the stock internals, then whats the point? its not that big of a difference. and you know we all want more..... more boost, more n20. 20psi, turns into 23psi, then turns into 25psi, then turns into 25psi +50 shot, then turns into WHITE SMOKE EVERYWHERE . LOL.

oh yeah, u know what im talkin bout NOS= N2O

your retarded man, ive got stock internals and have been spraying on the car sincve i bought it 2yrs ago , i jus took out my 100 shot to do a turbo kit.
as long as its tuned and you knwo what your doing anything is possible, i know guys running 12psi maybe a tad more on stock type r bottom ends too . . . . you must not get out much or really know any good tuners to see this stuff for yourself.
