Default Honda Reviving S2000 ?

More and more rumors are surfacing about a revival of the S2000 concept, considering the ongoing popularity of the MX-5 and FIAT's adopting the chassis as a new 124.

I'm astonished that the rumors appear to be real, because it would mean sacrificing the extant roof strength and probably the internal crash safety standards...because it looks like a 50% chance that it'd be based on the MX-5 chassis but with Honda running gear and a nose designed to be derivative of the NSX Sport Hybrid.

There's no platform available for a light F/R Honda convertible, so I think it would have to be based on the Miata.

No room for Sport Hybrid. It'd have to be a tiny car like the Miata, and with motors based on the 2017 Civic motors...small, efficient turbos.

What do you think?

great news but it looks like a micro space ship and nothing like s2000

but either way I'm glad Honda finally remembered the NONballer performance crowd.
nsx is not exactly affordable for almost anyone.
even the older one is hard to get in good condition now.

hopefully they make it for tall people this time and not for skinny child sized adults.

in any case. I would have to say bye bye to high revving motors .
last time I saw the Honda ads they were claiming 7000rpm as high revving Honda lol
