i just bought my usdm cc. everything works well except the a/c indicator light. after all the tests & checks, i tried to open and noticed 2 signs of wire tapped/soldered (please see attached photo). im not sure if it originally like that or the previous owner tried something else.

any of you guys have this photo... just for my comparison. or somebody might have the same problem before?

Forgive my ignorance, not sure what I'm looking at here. Climate control (cc?) maybe? For what chassis? Your description/thread title are pretty useless.

Gotcha. 99-00 climate control.

That diode definitely looks messed up. I would check with a DVOM and see if it has anything to do with those pins before trying to do any repairs. It might be a $.50 fix, it might be junk. It's kind of hard to say without probing around.

Does the AC switch on and off, aside from the light not working?

yes the a/c switch on/off. its just the indicator light that's bothering me.
