Is this normal for a throw out bearing?
I bought this Koyo throw out bearing from ebay and was surprised by the amount of free play that is has. By comparison, i have the throw out bearing from a exedy clutch kit and it does not do this at all. Koyo is supposedly the OEM bearing according to acuraoemparts.com. Has anyone installed a throw out bearing that does that exact same thing? Im concerned that it may create weird noises and fail prematurely as i can see grease(indication of a bad seal?)
Here is a comparison video. The first TOB is the koyo one and second is the from the exedy clutch kit. Looks like two completely different designed TOB's

i have an excedy stage one clutch and the throw out bearing had some questional play. think of how it works it is a thrust bearing not a radial bearing. the play helps it meet the "fingers" on the pressure plate evenly. thats my guess. mine had been in my car for 50k miles and no noise present at this time.
Thanks for your input. Do you know what brand that TOB was you put in? I think read that the exedy stage 1 came with a nachi or koyo bearing.
Anyone else have input?

The Koyo looks fine just like a OEM one, that play is normal i believe.
I would just use the Exedy unit since it came with the matching clutch kit.
