As the name suggests I'm a noob to Honda motors. But I recently did my valve adjustment. Intake at .003 in and exhaust at .006. Still got a slight click and my ADD just won't stand for it. Could it be anything else ?

 

it's not going to be perfectly quiet, the only other real thing that can do that is the distributor id say LMA but it's obviously a non-vtec so that's no applicable. Maybe post a video with good audio extremely hard to say what normal with out hearing in this case.

 

That click you are hearing could be the fuel injectors. I do notice a tap/click when the engine is half way through warmup and will disappear when it is fully warmed up. My neighbor's integra did this as well.

I went with .004 intake and .007 exhaust and ensured the next size up couldnt fit.

 

stock injectors make valve lash noise. but do become quieter once the engine is warmed up. mine bothered me too.

 

Well, it doesnt get quieter when it warms up. It's actually more noticable when warmed up. But after the valve adjustment it seemed to make it louder. Now its throwing a weird smell at me. Tomorrow Im ganna mess with the adjustment a little more. Maybe I went to tight by accident.

 

Better to be loose than tight. Go with the clearance i used
