Hey guys, this car is my first honda, and it's my first turbo car so I'm trying to learn. I bought a 91 si yesterday with a b18a1 swap. It does have a turbo on it. There are a few things wrong with it, the brake lights won't turn off unless battery is disconnected, and when I got it home it was leaking oil in a few spots. Looked like it was coming from the oil pan. Gonna try to get a new gasket and some sealer and go from there. Is there anything else I should look for before I start dumping money into it and getting it tuned? Thanks in advance.

yah that is messed up-probably just crush it now, it is cursed.

So, you take out the battery, and then the brake lights work?

The little rubber plug is probably broken on the brake pedal. This piece slides the plunger back into the switch which turns off your brake lights when you take your foot off the pedal.

 

Got a better look under the car tonight, I don't think it's leaking oil pan. Couldn't really see where though. And what is that sensor by the brake called?

Check out the distributor to see if it is leaking oil. Mine has a leak there. Needs a new gasket that cost me $2.36. Takes like 10 min to replace.
