Default what kind of swap?

I have an 88 crx multi point and i want to switch it to either a zc or do a SOHC V-TEC. I do not have a clue on which is better so i hope that your guys can help me. And it might be helpful if one of you have the wiring diagram to ease me through it.

I've got the DOHC ZC. I like it.

I'm sure this helps you very little.

Sorry.

ZC is older...for piece of mind and reliability I would suggest a rebuild
SOHC Vtec is newer and you can get away without having to rebuild it for reliability.

So the SOHC V-TEC would be the best bet even with a turbo or would that just change the whole thing or what. I really want to have a fast car because no one here really knows what a fast car is, they think if they have I/H/E then they are the top ****.

Both motors will require internal modifications if you want to run a lot of boost. But If you only want to run between 5-10 psi, I would say go with the Sohc Vtec just because it is newer.

I want to run mid to high boost with the block built. Does anyone know what kind of turbo i should go with and all of the parts like wastegates BOV's and things like that. If some one knows what to get to run the best and fastest that would be helpful if you could help me out.

i've got the sohc vtec in my 88 crx. its strong as hell. i wouldn't trade it for a zc anyday. i mean, save money on cam gears and cams, valve springs..blah blah. less stuff to buy. more reliable. easy to get parts for. plkus you can get a vafc and tune it...instant hp. you have vtec...it is fun watching peoples face when they realize it is a SOHC that just owned em....and i am about to buy a turbo kit for it!!!!! good luck the sohc vtec is a little harder to so because of wiring. if you do it...make sure you do it right and get a z6...convert the car to obd-1.
