93 Honda Civic DX: Idle @ 0 RPM
I have a 93 Civic DX 5 speed. Im having an issue with the idle... as crazy as this sounds it literally idles touching the 0 rpm. Ive been told its possibly a vacuum leak, break booster, idle air control or fast idle control. Ive tried to narrow it down but wasn't able to find much information online... heres a few points on what its doing.
It started months ago very rarely idling low and would die but only when I came to a stop.
Its became more frequent with the brakes OCCASIONALLY effecting it (brakes on it would idle at 0 brakes off it would go up to 500)
Within the last month the brakes hadn't really effected it too much
Now after it warms up it idles at 0 EVERYTIME I come to a stop AND when I am switching to a lower gear if I do not change gears fast enough the rpm will drop to 0 or at least close to it.
It occasionally dies when I come to a stop and has even died while switching gears but usually only if I'm in a low gear like 1st or 2nd.
If anyone has any idea what could be going on id greatly appreciate some information
Nikita

Well, it pretty obviously isn't idling at 0, because that's not idling - that's off. Have you tried simply following the idle adjust procedure to see if you can get it back within spec?
well, I know its not idling at 0 lol its just idling sooo low that it is actually touching the 0 rpm! I have no clue how to adjust the idle??? But if I was to adjust the idle so it idled higher would that not make it idle too high when the car is cold (because it idles correctly until it has warmed up)
Cold idle and warm idle are controlled by two different processes - increasing your warm idle by 200 RPM isn't necessarily going to increase your cold idle by the same 200 RPM.
