Default do ebay top hats Really work with koni sports?

I bought some red ebay top hats locally, and installed one on my front koni. Then i installed a regular top hat on my other to compare.... and the distance doesnt seem to change at all from how far the bump stop can travel.... do they not work on konis?
I have some on my tokicos on a different car and they did allow more travel...
Is this because konis have that bulgy area where the washers sit on? Kinda confused, insight would be helpful

I already installed them. Just that little spot threw me off ( where the washers sit, above the bump stop)
Took my ef for a drive. Had the setting on all 4 corners at the softest, and i took a hard turn, in 2nd gear, going about 45, and my car slide sideways.. think its called understeer, i couldnt control it. Then i stiffened all sides to max, then backed it out a half turn. Really really impressed with how it rides. My springs are 375f/350 rear. About 1 and a half finger gap all around. Way better than my tokico illuminas with 400F/500r on my integra.
