HELP!!!! B16B Swap in 1998 civic LX
HI, guys i swapped a b16b into my 1998 lx sedan this is my setup
B16B long block
gsr lsd transmission
98 civic ex harness
obd2a to obd1 jumper
I finished the swap this past monday drove the car to and from work for 2 days. Wednesday night i went to the carwash and noticed a leak on one of the injectors. pulled the fuel rail off replaced the rubber gasket and reinstalled the rail and BAM car didnt start anymore had no spark or fuel. My fuel pump wasnt priming so i changed the fuel pump and main relay and nothing. today i finally found out that i pinched a injector wire and caused a short that kept blowing out fuse #40 15a underhood main relay. fixed that and now the fuel pump primes now and i have spark.
My issue now is that my pump doesnt seam to be sending enough fuel its a walbro and i can hear it kick on for sure. But when i check the return line and fuel rail i have to fuel. i removed the fuel filter and turn the car over no fuel shoots out from the fuel line. When i plug the fuel line pressure builds up but still only sends a little bit of fuel. Idk what it can be one thing im considering is that i didnt install the pump right or I also broke the green tab that i circled in the picture could that cause the pump to lose pressure and not send fuel? like i said car was running great for 2 days.
list of thing i did
changed fuel rail
changed fuel filter
changed fuel pump stock and walbro
changed fuel rail
blew air threw fuel line
ecu x3

Pull the cover, and watch as a friend turns the key to ON(II). See any fuel coming out anywhere it shouldn't be? Use a voltmeter and tell us how many volts are getting to the fuel pump with the key to ON(II).

i did i tried a stock ex fuel pump and a walbro they both prime so they get power. it just wont send the fuel.
if i prime the pump 5X and then loosen the filter bolt i get pressure but only a tiny bit of fuel. If i remove the filter i get no fuel out the fuel line untill i plug it with my finger and it builds up back pressure and will send fuel but again just a tiny bit of fuel with mostly air

Then you probably have a leak somewhere, just somewhere you arent able to see. Do you have that little washer on the rear banjo bolt on the fuel pump housing? I believe its a banjo anyway lol
Cover the battery terminals really well, and take off the filter, have a friend crank the car for like a bit and see how much fuel shoots out the line.

yesterday i took off the filter and there was NO fuel at all coming form the line.
as of 5 mintues ago i went outside primed the pump a couple time and then checked if i had fuel pressure this time i did actually have fuel pressure. so i took the rail off and turned the car over a couple times and now the injectors are spraying took a deep breath and blew down the fuel return line. put the rail back on and cranked it a couple times and what do you know it started. let it idle for a little bit then tired to give it a little gas and it bogged out and died stared it up a couple more times but everytime i give it gas it dies out on me. after 7 times of doing this is would not start anymore, went under the hood again and removed the return line. dry no fuel at all i did however hear like a gargling sound coming from the return line and after watching it for about a minute it burped out some fuel it did 4 burps.
NOW I THINK my return line and/or the feed fuel line maybe clogged/plugged up here are the reasons why i think this:
#1: When i blow down the return line its not free flowing
#2: Car would die when i stepped on the gas

If I read this right, you had the rail leak, fixed it, pinched the wire, fixed it and replaced fuel pump and at that point was when the fuel no longer flowed. Basically it sounds like the fuel pump install is the last thing before the fuel flow stopped. Have you taken the pump back out and make sure that everything is good on the install?
There was a guy not a week ago with similar issues, turned out the hose from the pump to the mounting plate was damaged. It's a slim chance, but worth checking out.
Same kind of thing I am thinking. When I can't figure stuff out it usually means I made a mistake cause I was stressed and in a hurry, so retracing your steps is always a good plan.
ive took out the pump 3x and nothing i even bought 5gs of gas just to be sure there was enough fuel. i thinks is clogged up because when i unhook the fuel lines at the pump i can blow air threw the feed line but not the return line. do you need the return line for the car to start or should it start anyway?

Your FPR is constantly blocking the return path as part of its normal operation. Blocking the return will create more fuel pressure. If your return line was blocked, the car would run rich.
You've already determined that the pump isn't supplying enough fuel for a clogged return to even be a problem.
You have a feed-side issue.
How many volts are going to the pump?
