Default Will transmission fit engine?

Will a 92 1.5 engine fit the transmission from a 97 or 98 dx or ex. My car is the 92 will the trans fit the mounts I already have.

Any 92-00 D series engine or transmission can be mixed and matched. If it's a manual transmission, it'll drop in and go. If it's an automatic transmission, no. The TCU won't know what to do with it.

Thanks I'm the guy who asked if dropping the bolt in the trans was bad? I changed the distributor and the bolt dropped perfectly into where slave cylinder meets the fork thingy. I thought that if a bolt could get in there a water or dirt could too so I figured it was just a hole and a dark place. Drove a mile and it made a bad sound I shut it off. I don't know if bolt passed through or ruined it. I turned it back on and parked it. I figure if I have to take it apart I might as well switch the trans out because it has loud bearings. I have one that had 96 on it

There isn't supposed to be just a hole there, there should be a rubber boot. Your clutch assembly is in there. You need to separate the transmission from the engine, and get that bolt out.

If you're talking about the VSS and the reverse signal switch, then yes, they are the same.

Someone on another thread said I would have to switch pressure and flywheel. What do you think?

Either there's something you aren't telling us, or "someone on another thread" was wrong. 92-00 D series clutch assemblies are all the same.
