Default Mfactory plate LSD

Hi, just bought the above for my B18C. They recommend Torco MTF or RTF, however I believe this is GL5 and not recommend for standard synchros? Are the Synchrotech synchros of a better material? Hopefully Mfactory or Synchrotech will see this and be able to help. Any other oil recommendations? Thanks

For my race car (B18C type R with Wavetrac LSD), I use a mix of one liter of Torco MTF + one liter of Torco RTF. I've got some bottles of those that I bought a year or so ago, and the label of the MTF says it is GL-4, while the RTF is GL-6. If you're just running on the street, then I'm not sure if you could just go with the MTF fluid, but for the track, many people use a mix of MTF plus the RTF. If you decide to use the Torco trans fluid, then you might try talking with the people at MFactory to see if they recommend the MTF by itself or the MTF+RTF combo if you won't be taking the car on the track. The following trans fluid threads from the Racing/Autocross forum may be helpful also. - Jim

I use the torco because M-Factory recommends it. Since I am street only I use the MTF.

Would a company really recommend using a product that destroys the transmission that they are selling a part to? Is that logical at all? Specially seeing as they sell, rebuild and warranty their work, recommending a product that damages things would mean they have a LOT of warranty work to do which is lost money...

checkout http://support.teammfactory.com they have a lot of answers there. Repeatedly they recommend the Torco with stock or modified transmissions for high performance and recommend it for ALL the internal transmission parts they sell.

It's recommended because of the diff, they don't sell OEM Honda synchros. Torco have confirmed it is fine in our transmissions as it doesn't contain Molybdenum Sulfide.
