Skinnies sizing for 15x3.5 lenso
I'm about to order slicks/skinnies for my h2b hatch that has stock GSR gearing, and while I thought I was set on a 24" MH rear, I've stumbled across a 23" hoosier tire also. Up front I'll be on a 23x8 slick.
My thought process was that the 24" tire would help my top end MPH, but I've also read that I should match the skinnies diameter with the slicks. Tread width is 4" (24" tire) vs 4.3" (23" tire)
Looking for input on which rear would be better/why, or just to be told that I'm looking far too deep into the matter

Nankangs are the worst tires made. My brother bought a set once and first the right front popped right off the rim on a normal turn. They replaced the tire only to have the left front pop off the rim on a turn a week later. This was on Weld drag lites mounted and balanced by Discount tire.
That's so cool to know, but maybe you should present your findings to the DOT in your area so that other people like yourself can be safe.
Can't be too careful when it comes to tires just popping off the rims.

Should have checked for you when I was at the shop today, sorry.
I believe that they are the smallest tires in a 15" rim on Discount tires direct if I remember correctly.
BTW, they were highly rated on several street machine sites for much heavier cars than ours for front runners.
Jus say'n
