2004 Honda civic ex water on drivers floor
I have a 2004 civic ex and the ac is not draining. It's not clogged, but there is water on the driver's side floor bad. I cannot find the leak anywhere. Any suggestions?
Usually a clogged A/C drain would show water on passenger's side footwell. Still check for a clogged A/C drain. It is located on the passenger's side near the firewall. Check the A/C cabin filter too as it may have been in contact with water backup.
Search google images for 7th gen A/C drain for pics and google search "Honda civic A/C drain clogged" for more info.

I have checked the drain thoroughly. Even ran a cleaner tube all the way into the box. There is nothing in the way stopping it up. I have no idea where this water is coming from. The only thing I haven't done is take up all the carpet and liner on the driver's side to see where it is draining from. I checked the sunroof drain too, and it's clear.
Since it is only on driver's side - maybe not A/C condensation.
Not a sweet coolant smell to it is there? Thinking heater core but again on the pass side.
Happened after a heavy rainfall?
Any windshield work done recently? Poor seal at the windshield? I had a Subaru that would leak when it rained via the A-pillar and windshield. That was due age and rust though.
If you suspect water leak from rain, then check with someone on outside using a hose and you on inside checking for leaks. Start low and work your way to the top of vehicle.

Rain leaks are a PITA - been there.

Really weird part is that it just started happening out of no where. There is no smell like coolant to the liquid. The only thing I have noticed is that the a/c is not draining at all. Put it on a lift yesterday, and blew out the drain, and no clogs at all. Was wondering if maybe it is running through the vents to the outside vent on drivers side? It's only by the outer part of the drivers side floor. The windshield is fine, a-frame is good, and no leaks per water test with a water hose. IDK?
Check the door frame right where the a pillar cover meets the headline, is it wet?
I had a leak turned out that water was coming through the top windshield gasket. I filled it with urethane, no more problems

Bottom line is your A/C should be draining under the car when operational.
But the wet carpet all the way to the outside driver's side has me confused. Unless you are parked unevenly and water from pass runs to outside driver's.
I have read that using compressed air may blow clog back to evaporator and not help? Suggested a shop vac?

If you are in southern climes, you should always see condensation draining when A/C on. If you are not, then it is possible that the temps do not produce condensation from the A/C and the drain is fine.
It has me totally stumped. I am pulling out the driver's seat this weekend, and pulling up all carpet and liner to see exactly where it is coming from. The only thing I can think is that it is somehow draining into the vent cavity on the drivers side and leaking down from there since that is where the majority of the water is. Will try the shop vac as well. Hopefully something will work. We are in the south, so it should be draining a lot!
Pure antifreeze in the radiator. It has me stumped. Thinking maybe the sunroof drain is cracked? This is driving me nuts. Has my 17 year old daughter crazy trying to not get wet in it!
If the floor is not wet with coolant, then there are only two possibilities - leaking A/C evaporator or exterior water leak.
