Engine misfire only when turning right.
Greetings all,
I have a 98 Accord Ex and it has a weird problem. The engine will misfire whenever I turn right. I have changed the plugs and the wires, changed the transmission fluid and oil. The problem will only happen when I turn the steering wheel to the right. Even if is the slightest turn to the right. It happens weather the fuel tank is full or close to empty. I have no idea what it could be. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
Thank you.
Note:
Engine Codes P0304, 305, 306 and 1399
Car runs perfect when going straight or left.

I would try putting the car in the air on 2 jack stands and seeing if it still misfires when turning the steering wheel to the right. I would then do it again with the car on 4 jack stands and do the same test. This might give you some idea as to whether or not it has to do with the vehicle forces when turning or if something is catching on something when the wheel is turned or the steering rack.
Other than that, I have no idea.

Had a Ford Escape in the other day that only misfired in reverse. Engine mounts were worn(not broken) causing the wire harness to flex and (eventually) break leaving behind an intermittent connection for the coil wire.
Yep it's misfiring, chugging along when I turn right. But going straight or left no problem. I was kinda wondering if somehow the ignition switch could cause this? To me this has to be something electrical or sensor related because it is triggered when I turn the wheel to the right of center.
Just drive with only the ignition key and see if the problem persists. Or while idling start jiggling the key up and down to see if the car stumbles.
If your keychain has lots of keys, trinkets, charms, etc on it that may be the problem, all that weight pulling on it.
