Default '98 civic randomly lugs

My Civic began randomly lugging 3 months ago. It's like a piece of gunk in the fuel filter so changed that. It only happened about every 200 kms at first but in the past 2 weeks has gotten worse. Doesn't seem to matter the RPM, fuel level, engine temp. Happens while on the hwy doing 120 kph once in 40 mins drive time, or driving in the city.Idles beautifully . Just had the TPS replaced and still doing it. The fuel is getting through as could smell it while trying to restart it after it stalled last night. I am lost. Mileage has gone for m 540/tank to about 430/tank.
98 civic coupe. Any ideas anyone?

When was your last full tune-up, including plugs, wires, cap, and rotor? What color is your spark? When did you last have your injectors cleaned?

Didn't consider the plugs, wires cap or rotor as it is idling well. How do I check my spark? Have injector cleaner just haven't put it in yet. Yes you are talking with a girl so be patient lol. I was going to try the injector cleaner in the tank tomorrow actually.

Your convenient sidestepping of the question tells us all we need to know. Give your car a full ignition tune up. Use only NGK parts. Hondas get very touchy when you give them non-OEM ignition components. After you've done that, if it's still having issues, buy/borrow/rent an HEI spark tester. It looks like this.

You can get them at any major parts store. Follow the instructions on the package, and tell us what color the spark is at all four plugs.
