My car has a salvaged title and is getting inspected tomorrow(88 CRX). I bought a new hatch off of an Si (2nd gen not sure the year), and I was wondering where the vin number would be located on the hatch. Some moron painted over the original color and I can't find the vin number. Without that the car can't get inspected. Someone please help me!!!!

 

There is no vin number on the hatch the three places that they are is 1 in the door 2 on the dash and 3 in the engine bay right along the firewall (on top) stamped into the frame.

 

That makes sense.......are we positive on this one? Cause if so I'm just gonna use my boy's vin number from his Si ad just say he sold it to me.
