Default Cooling fan wiring

I just bought a f20b swapped civic and im having a bit of a problem with the cooling fan. Not much of a problem but more as annoying.
With the swap the ac compressor was taken out from what i saw, so somehow the fan was wired to the ac button. The fan only turns on when two conditions are met: The fan speed is on(doesnt matter the speed, just on) and the ac button is pressed down and the light is green.
This is annoying since i heard its bad to have the fan running 24/7 so i would have to be remembering to switch it off and on every time i start getting hot. I've already forgot twice and only noticed when i felt/smelled(dont ask) the engine getting hot. I don't want to **** up this engine(because i saw what they go for, this IS an expensive swap) so i'd like some help on how to correctly wire this so it turns on and off by itself. The prev owner said he tried but it kept blowing a fuse.

please and thanks

edit: typical newbie mistake, posted in wrong section

Default Re: Cooling fan wiring

from inspecting i see that the fan is grounded to the body and the power wire is running into what i'd assume to be where the ac compressor would have connected to if it was installed. Hotrodding at it's best sure, but annoying
