Default D16Z6 Missfire At Cold Startup

Hi all, I will apologize in advance if i don't supply enough info. I have a 95 Civic sedan D16z6 P28 ECU stock chip no tune. I did not start having this issue until i replace the distributor but i don't understand how it could be the problem because i have replace the distributor 3 times now and its the same problem every time. Stock distributor was leaking oil into cap. First replacement it had a miss at cold startup. Second time i replace was because it was leaking oil into cap again (and also had the startup miss). Im now on my third one and its missing again at COLD start up. It only does it for a couple of seconds when it first revs up to about 2K and then once it starts dropping it stops and doesn't do it again and if i cut the car off after the initial first start up it won't do it again until the car sits and gets cold again. Ive replaced plugs and wires with OEM NGK plugs to OEM gap. Plugs and wires replaced prior to distributor replacement. It seems the colder the weather the worse this gets. Fuel filter has also been replaced recently also. The car has had what i call a "surge" since the day i got it under acceleration. Not sure if that has anything to do with the main problem I'm having but during mild to heavy acceleration it has a random "surge" in power. Almost like a buck but really light like the power is just not smooth its kind of lightly jerky. I don't expect this car to run like brand new but this is really bugging me. Any ideas? i was told to look into the fuel system but i don't want to get to deep into this if its something simple. Thank you!

Can you try the original (stock) distributor to see if it still does the same? or did it already get returned? I assume the replacement distributors are remans, we see it all the time with reman alternators/starters/distributors/master cylinders/etc that sometimes it takes 3 replacements before you get a good one...

Yes unfortunately my original is gone. I've been getting them from autozone so I guess I'll try a different auto parts store because one out of 3 and I should of found a good one by now. Any recommendations?

Eric the Car Guy recommends only using Honda ignition parts.

Honestly try a couple more autozone ones since they are free lol, at least its easy to change out. Usually O reilly parts are pretty good if you can get your money back from autozone

I actually splurged on some actual Honda stuff.. It is pricey, but yes, I have heard this advice given more than once.

That said, I think NGK is the right plug for a Honda.

And think of all the time you'll save by swapping it out hopefully just one mo' time with a Honda distributor. I'm sure you know that you can buy it cheaper online.
