Default RPM signal for aftermarket tach

I am trying to get a good rpm signal for my koso gauge but when i connect it to the tach signal out of the distributor, it jumps all over the place. its a shielded wire so i doubt that is the issue.

I notice that the signal out of my S300 to my tablet is correct so i am wondering if i can pull signal from the ECU somewhere. Maybe A21??

Thoughts?

Also, i out the tach signal to 1 rpm to 2 ignition. is that right? See attachment.
