Sorry if this question has been asked before but i tried a search and it came up empty.I was just wondering how much boost can R internals handle.I plan on building a LSVtec with stock type R internals.I dont want to boost no more then 10 at the most.The car is going to be daily driven, taken to the track a few times, and not driven ***** out all the time.I know with this set up i cant be redlineing all the time.Thanks for your time

 

why are u goina put high compression cast parts on a turbo motor? if u go turbo and are building the motor why not use forged internals?

 

Stock internals anywhere from 260 to 280 safely. Of course with good tuning you can always push it higher.

 

I was thinking the same thing. Type R engines should be NA, not turbo. use lower compression, not high ones like the ones on the type R.

 

Yeah sorry guys i really wasnt thinking much.I forgot to mention im talking about the head ie valves and things like that.I have rods and pistons already, i just want to get a GSR head and use ITR internals and i wanted to know if it will handle up to 10 psi OK.
