well after i installed me headers and my carsond cat i customed my piping to 2.5 so I can keep my stock muffler but now its making a nasty rattling sound im guessing its beause theres no resonator any sugestions on how to get rid of this sound?

This may be a stretch, but, do you have the spare tire out. If so, did you remove the securing bolt, if not that biaatch will rattle, after installing my poon N1, it rattled like a *****!

mine rattled after the jdm dc 4-1, carsounds cat and apexi n1.

 

mine has a raspy sound cause of the material my mugen headers are made of AND they are lacking a welding near the bottom where it curves. The part makes a raspy kinda sound, I say just live with it

 

7 bolts hold the 2 heatshields in...

 

What about the gasket between the header and the cat? When I installed my comptech header I forgot to put back the gasket between the header and the cat and it rattled like a biAtch at low speed, but sounded sweet at high speed. I put the gasket back in and the rattling went away.

 

mine does the same, i have oem itr header and a carsound cat with custom piping, and i still have my stock resonator and it rattles.

do you have a flex pipe??...mine rattled cause i didn't put a flex pipe in

 

tap the bottom of the cat. if it rattles then have a look inside the cat. if you see a big chunk of white crap, then you have got a crapped out carsound. mine went out after two days, don't think it can't happen.

the cat could be fucked...stuff could just be rattling around in there.
