Default Noise when braking at coasting/slow speeds

So I recently replaced the brake pads and rotors on my 1990 Civic because the rotors were warped. The shaking has gone away now that I replaced them but now it makes a "womp womp" type of noise when braking at very slow speeds such as coasting to a stop. It only happens at certain times while holding the brakes so I know it has to be a certain part of the rotor causing the noise. Or something in the wheel as it goes around. It only happens once out of the rotation of wheel. It only happens when braking. Anyone else have this problem? What should I do?

Take the rotor off and make sure its flush on the hub.

Check the wheel bearing by slowly rotating the hub. You'll feel it if there is any rough spot.

Shaking the wheel is not a test of the bearing. But you can check the tie rod ball joints that way, it helps to put your hand over the balljoint to feel for play.

Well I made sure the hub is in fact flush. I took it to a shop today and they said the hub is warped. This really sucks because I just now paid a mechanic 120 dollars to put a new wheel bearing in on that side. And it turns out the hub itself is warped. I got bad luck.

Can you all recommend me some places where I can get a hub assembly for the front? I'm having trouble finding a hub for the front.

It's a 1990 honda civic base hatchback. I need a hub for the front passenger side.

I'm not sure what engine and trans you have, but Honda Automotive Parts lists a few front hubs (illustration 3 Hub Assy 44600-SH1-A00 but says discontinued, and illustration 4 front hub 44610-SH3-981). I'm not sure if those are the right parts, as I'm not sure what engine and trans you have, so you can search for the exact combination. One thing I don't really like is trying to figure out what system/component group to open, but the group in this case is knuckle.

I took a quick look on E-bay, and didn't find any 44600-SH1-A00, but there are quite a few 44610-SH3-981 showing up, but you would need to make sure that it is the right part, and that the bearing they include is good quality. In the past, I've ordered new front hubs with bearings (Koyo) from E-bay, and it worked out great, and was much cheaper than ordering from the Honda/Acura stores.

I also took a look at RockAuto, and it listed quite a few engines for 1990, but when I looked for the front hub (at Brake/Wheel Hub / Wheel Bearing & Hub Assy), I found rear hubs offered, but no front hubs.

When I look for parts for Honda/Acura, I usually check the websites below to find part numbers and prices, and then check Amazon and E-bay to see what parts (OEM or aftermarket) are offered. There is also RockAuto, and it usually has numerous aftermarket choices to wade thru. Anyway, I'll list the Honda/Acura websites below. Good luck on this!! - Jim

I also did a quick search for 'good sites for parts' on Honda-Tech in the thread titles only and https://honda-tech.com/search.php?searchid=17700135 listed a few pages of threads that you can look thru for additional/other parts sites. - Jim
