This started a month ago i started hearing like a cassette tape rewinding or a loose wheel sound from a shopping cart. The sound used to come up randomly but now it is frequent. At first i thought it was the suspension but there where times where the sound is constant even when i come to a full stop. The sound gets louder when i go on a bumpy roads and less when on smooth roads. Im having a hard time locating the noise because when I pull up and open the hood the sound is already gone.

 

Check the exhaust heat shields. They could be cracked or loose.

 

The sound is definitely on the hood and possibly driver side. I took a vid of it and it sounds like mice talking

I would lean towards a pulley causing the squeak.

 

Went to a shop today, test drive it and they said its going to be hard to diagnose becsuse its random. I should come back when it is constant because right now it is on and off.
Anyways, do you guys think this needs immediate attention or should i wait for it to get worse then take it to a shop?

 

Until you can pinpoint the source of the noise, there's not much you can do.
