Default Thermal Exhaust with dual tips like stock Si muffler?

My friend said such a thing exists. Is it true. I need a new exhaust and Thermal seems good and cheap. I rather have the 2 smaller tips than 1 big tip. Do they make one like that. Pics would help a lot.

I've never seen or heard of one. You can have yours modified, but I do not trust exhaust shops. Either they use the right equipment, but use the crummy weld thread (rust at welds over about one week), or they use the S.S. weld thread and don't have the correct equipment. It's always something.

If Thermal offers one that is great.

Can people post pics of their Thermals on their car. And how much was it , what kind is it, and where did you get it?

I've been wondering the same thing so I just went ahead and E-mailed them this:

How much extra will it be to custom order dual DTM tips on a Classic system for a 1989 DX Hatch?

I understand you'd like stock looking, but I went with this since they seem to have the most material, no fancy rolled tips though. I'll let you know asap, they get back usually within 12 hours.

Cheapest I have seen is $479, there are two posts within a day old about them, click pages 1-3, should be here. Pic too.

Got pics of the HKS? Plus I don't want DTMs that tip upward or anything. I just like the 2 smaller exits like the stock Si muffler has.

Na dawg! youve seen the only system that Thermal makes for our car in a 2.25" size on my car. They do however make a 3" system for turbo applications... Yummy. Maybe your friend is confusing the Thermal with HKS. HKS is what I was gonna run but it was on backorder. It has two stock looking tips and is all stainless.
If you want the Thermal the shop that got me mine can give it to you for $450-475.

hey I just got my Thermal Cat-Back on Saturday. Except I only got the underbody piping.....

Since this is my first exhaust purchase, I guess my question is: They should have shipped the whole damn thing with the muffler, right!? I mean, it was $469 so that must include everything, right? Gasket(s) too.

Damn this is annoying. I'm gonna have to bitch on the phone with these peep's tomorrow

Not fun. Anyway, sorry for the rant. Just when things seem to be looking up this bull**** happens...

I wasn't even in the market for an exhaust 2 weeks ago so I never noticed until my piece fell apart.

There it is, looks nice. However its not stainless, I would be afraid of it rusting or something.

Anyone know what it sounds like?

DUAL DTM's?

It was an example.

I did see that HKS exhaust about a week ago and completey forgot. I turned away after I saw a picture of it, but looks can be deceiving, it probably is good.

My local place has it for $525, but seeing how cheap it is on the net maybe that was with installation. I think I am going to check it out tomorrow.

Yes. But it flows the least since it's most like stock as far as piping and muffler design. But it does sound nice.
