Default Help! Coolant In Transmission Fluid

I have a Honda Accord V6. I have been slowly leaking coolant for 2 months and couldn't find the leak. I put some tracer dye in the radiator. The transmission fluid lit up light a Christmas tree. Will you please advise the best course of action?

You may have a bad radiator (assuming you have an automatic). The stock transmission cooler is built into the bottom part of the radiator. If it internally fails, you'll have coolant and ATF mixing. Coolant in your automatic transmission will mean death to the clutch packs. Please fix it before you have a bigger issue to take care of.

Are you sure that is right? There are no cooler lines coming out of that radiator.

If looking down at the radiator, doesnt the return line run from the drivers side of the radiator across and over the top of the trans?

Other way around. There Are transmission lines running to the radiator. Should be two lines at the bottom, at roughly opposite ends of the rad.

This model has a transmission warmer sitting on top of the transmission. I thought that since it has this design, no transmission flows to this radiator? Is that wrong?

Maybe? You made no mention of the year/generation.

Same thing you do with any vehicle that does this buy a new radiator and flush the hell out of the cooling system

That's where I'm getting confused. It seems like the heat exchanger/transmission warmer is the part I should replace. Isn't that where the breach would have occurred? Should I replace the radiator just in case it's bad too? Am I altogether mistaken thinking the transmission warmer is the failed part?
