Default Good deal on 96 4 door

Hey guys, I have been out of the honda world for quite some time now (not counting my n600) and I was wondering about this 96 4 door I will be picking up. I'm buying it for a beater to get better gas mileage than my truck until bad weather hits. I would like to change somethings once I park it. I have a b16a1 that iv'e been holding onto for the right project and I would like to install this in the civic. It's a cable trans (I think YS1) and odb0 distributor. I had it in a DA and I put it in a CRX which now is gone. I have a good set of hasport motors mounts and the engine harness is still on the motor. If anyone has a link to some more info on this swap it would be great but from what I researched most won't deal with the hydro to cable conversion or the wiring, but since I already have the motor and am not interested in selling I'd like to work with what I have.

Other questions

What ecu do I need?

Will any of the ef motor mounts fit?

no, ef mounts dont work. for your application, you'll probably need a conversion harness and obd-1 ecu. that motor isn't obd-2 friendly.

Ok it's starting to come back to me now. I have an obd1 engine, I had to buy the obd1-obd0 conversions for my ef.

this is hardly a tech thread, so don the flame suit. do browse the faq's, there is a ton of info there for you to use. that transmission does suck, but is a potential cheap solution. if it is 92+, you can use a hydro ls (cheapest) case and 5th, eliminating the suck.

Ok eghatch9295 what are hasport motor mounts selling for? I got the race urethane ones there lightly used.

Holy ****. Holy. *******. ****. We were so close to going a full day without a shitty thread, but OP just had to swing in, in the 24th hour, to ruin it for us.

Failure to read stickies? Check.

Failure to properly use stickies? Check.

Failure to do even a tertiary search before diving for the post button? Check.

OP, you are expected to put in a modicum of effort before posting around here. It's obvious that you haven't. Go over to the FAQ sticky, and start reading. Once you've done that, if you have actual, specific technical questions, then ask them. If you have cost-related questions, go to the company's website and figure out how much it costs. Or ask in the value sticky - that's what it's there for. Now unfuck yourself.
