Icon4 itr intake valves and flat face exhaust valves?

I was searching for info on this setup, reading about more air flow. Im almost finishing up with my 82x89 build and im looking into different valve setups. I just recieved my m22 cams from rocket with the sl springs and retainers. Big ups to Robert "Rocket" Martin. I was leaning toward ITR intake valves, but what about the exhaust side? Ive read about how it flows real well with the dished intake valves, and also having flat faced valves on the exhaust side will help exiting the exhaust fumes. Hope that anyone with any knowledge about this would chime in before i do something i should have fully understand first. Ill post pics as soon as i can.

setup
GSR head port/polish
m22xx w/ sl Springs and retainers
k series LMAs
skunk pro series manifold (might sell/upgrade to ultra series or performer x mani)
toda gears

B18c1 Block
82mm inlinefour pr3 pistons
ls shotpenned rods
Ls crank
fully balanced bottom end
oil squirters were kept but bent in a bit and cleared.
orbit oil pump from 4pistons racing.

i also used the ls crank with the gsr block. i got 81.5mm pistons instead. i didnt keep the oil squirters. golden eagle squirter block off. no issues at all. arp rod bolts will be needed though. make sure your clearance is good for both. when you buy bearings, get ls bearings for the rods, and gsr for the main bearings.. im sure you knew that already.. as far as valves, not entirely sure, but the itr valves are lighter. while flat face valves raises compression, it dont do a better job than itrs.. i think its like the valve compresses the flame. or some **** along those lines haha. do some reading, i read that while i was doing my build.

make sure the big end of the rods are round. get the rod bolts, torque them down in 3 steps to their recommended specs, and get them rounded again.

Thanks, yea i got those down, running on gsr bearings with re-tanged ls rods. This will somewhat be my daily, so i decided to keep the squirters. I have arps all around. I agree on itr valves to be my best option, im just really looking into a valve setup that would help flow more air in and out of the motor. I had remembered way back someone had this setup and it flowed really well. Cant seem to find it. Its going to be ITR intake valves for sure, just dont know what to do on the exhaust side.

I believe the Type R valves differ from the other B series valves because they are a bit lighter and the stems are swirl polished for better air flow.

Just go with ITR exhaust i wouldnt play with the compression with diffrent valves. But maybe someone will chime in on that. I had great results using Buddy club flat face valves on my old GSR all motor setup. Motor made real good power for what it had back then.

The ITR intake valves have a narrowed stem just above the head. Saves a bit of weight and probably increases flow very slightly. ITR exhaust are the same as any other vtec B series exhaust valve.

there was something about flat exhaust valves and flow possibly by ENDYN.
it has very slight improvement of air flow because of the flat center but the oem dip helps airflow into the chamber while flat valve helps airflow out of the chamber.

but I have no idea where I red it its been like 4 years ago, all I remember that there was some flow improvement over stock exhaust valves.

Yeah, I was lookin into their articles at Endyn and ran across that information. I want to consider it but want more information on it.

Is the added flow worth the added weight to the valve and stress to the retainer?
I can't imagine flat face valves helping that much, can they?
I would get 4 Pistons and Rockets opinions since they have a direct hand in your build.

flat faced not necessarily heavier...

and I almost guarantee it was ENDYN tht did the testing so any old timers maybe remember where the article was because I cant find it.

if I remember correctly its one of those things that you do in combination with others to net total gains. since by itself its insignificant.
