1994 Accord EX Power Loss floating around 4k RPM
So ever since I got the car a year ago, I've not been able to rev it past 4k RPMs. I will give you some information about the car.
240k Miles
No leaks, mild oil burns but I keep up with oil levels.
New ECU, Distributor
No CEL
Stock everything to the T
So if the vehicle is cold, and I rev it, it cuts hard at around 3,750RPM and feels almost as if I have pressed the brakes from the power loss. It takes a few seconds to come back out of it in the next gear where I notice the power going from weak to acceptable without changing where my throttle is.
When the vehicle is warm, same exact thing but at usually around 4k RPM and takes a little longer to come out of it.
I have driven the vehicle long distances and noticed no issues with the catalytic converter as some users on Reddit said it possibly could be a clogged catalytic converter causing too much back pressure. I have a new alternator that is supplying the proper voltage to the engine and components.
Could it possibly be VTEC related since it floats, as VTEC is computer controlled? The engine feels like it makes completely proper power until it cuts out way before redline.

Is it throwing an codes? Check Engine Light Codes: Honda 1990-1995 obd1 code retrieval
I know you've already done some of these, but check if the spark plugs are good. if there's enough oil, if the catalytic converter is clogged, if you have sufficient fuel pressure and the fuel filter is clean. If all those things are good then you may just have an engine that's used up and it's time for a rebuild or new engine. 240K miles is a lot.

It's not throwing any codes, oil pressure is good, and the catalytic converter is fairly hollow. Either way, it's time for a new car, I just want to get the last bit of fun out of it before it bites the dust. I haven't checked the fuel filter but it seems to be getting a decent fuel pressure.
