P1259 driving me nuts
I have an accord 2001 4cyl automatic which drives well with no codes but a bit weak and I decided to rebuild. Rings changed and some work done on d cylinder head. After this, the engine drives well but can no longer rev beyond 4000rpm in motion. check engine with P1259 keeps popping up.
Start d car and rev without load and it gets to 5000rpm
Drive in 1 and it also gets to 5000rpm
But put in d 4 and it cuts out at 4000rpm with the error code. Pull over and rev without load and it still cuts out. Turn off engine and start again and it revs to 5000rpm.
Oil level is ok. Changed filter. Changed vtec solenoid assembly. Checked for continuity and ok. But problem persists.
I'm really confused and frustrated. What else should I do?
