I have a 2004 Honda Accord with j30 engine got a knock so I went online and saw jdm j30a low mileage replacement said on advertisement on eBay direct replacement engine lol it looked a little different from the start the engine in my car has vtec solenoid and pressure sensor on the oil filter housing the jdm engine had the vtec located on the side of the rear cylinder head I decided to install the engine anyways I used my oil filter housing from my original engine on my jdm engine everything installed easy wiring plugged in as it should everything seemed legit except for the extra vtec solenoid on the side of the rear cylinder head still thought it was kinda funny on first start up I immediately had a check engine light engine code was p2652 rockerarm actuator stuck if I remember correctly and the engine would not rev past 3k rpm but otherwise ran ok the trick that I found was by connecting two wires together it will eliminate check engine light and run correctly on the oil filter housing there is a vtec solenoid and a oil pressure sensor switch one green wire on the vtec solenoid and a blue and brown wire on the green oil pressure switch I disconnected the blue wire from the green oil pressure switch and spliced it into the green wire on the vtec solenoid this will bypass the oil pressure switch by doing this will trick the ecu car will have no check engine light and will run as it should
