Default Wheel bearing

Okay so Im going to replace my driver side wheel bearing, My car is a 2000 civic hatchback with an OBD1 LS Motor and GSR trans. Should I be getting the bearing specific to the car model, trans or engine? I was going to go with model specific and the guy at honda said I would have a hard time figuring out what bearing to get since i have a swapped motor. Is this true? Should i get my bearing for my motor or year model car? I just want to get my car moving again.

That's not even remotely true - the guy in the parts department you talked to is a ******* idiot. Get the bearing to match the chassis, assuming you haven't swapped the knuckles.

Do you have the stock Civic hub/knuckle? That's what you buy the bearing for.
