Took the head off my 150k mile b16 to find that the valves are toast. I am looking to do a fresh overhaul with maybe some streetable cams. I like Skunk2 products and was looking at their camshafts/valve springs/pushrods etc. What simple head setup would you guys recommend? This is not a race car, more of a daily driver.

 

One simple question, before you dive into this.

Are you ready to spend $1000+ for very little performance gain on a stock motor?

$500 for a good pair of cams (and no, Junk2 isn't good. Forget about them.)
$250 for Springs and retainers
$200 for valves
$500 for a tune

And that's not counting the other necessities, like guides, stem seals, or machine work. All of this for very little power gain, and even then that's assuming you live somewhere that the tune won't make it completely impossible for you to legally pass smog/inspection. Think very carefully before you go down this road.
