GSR crank but doesn't start

GSR crank but doesn't start
I was driving and the engine suddenly stopped. I tried to start it and it wouldn't crank at all, so I thought that there might me a problem with the battery poles. I removed the poles and reinstalled them.
After that, the car would crank, but wouldn't start.
What kind of procedures would you follow to find what is the problem in this case?

basically check for spark and fuel.
could be anything from a broken rotor in the distributor cap to something like a bad fuel pump or broken timing belt.

ignition coil is my #1 no start issue.
