help ?? V6 coupe intake / upside down MAF
sup guys, i know this may sound a bit absurd, but its not my car, but a friend of mine recently wanted to install a short ram intake into his 2010 accord 3.5 v6 coupe. as i somewhat expected, the next day the CEL came on. ive gone through some research as far as resetting ecu (a few different ways), etc.... but one factor that sticks in my head is that due to the off placement of the breather hose connection, the intake tube itself is kinda flipped upside down... so the MAF is actually upside down / under the pipe. is this a major / THE factor regarding the CEL being on?
if so and/or if not, how can the ECU be reset to learn that the intake is there now? we tried the disconnection of battery terminals (both), and the CEL went off for a day before coming back on, ive also read to only disconnect the negative terminal, ive also read about a fuse disconnect and reapply, and also a trick for 2/3G TL's which involved flipping the key on and flooring the gas pedal ???
apparenlty the car runs fine, the same as before, yet the CEL is still illuminated which eventually becomes irritating...
any help would be appreciated.
thanks!
