Default B16a y1 cable transmission slipping issues

Hey guys,
So i just bought a y1 tranny for my b20v. I put the whole thing in and transmission is slipping. But its not my clutch, its fairly new. I asked the buyer what happened and he said thats the same thing that happened in the last car it was in even after installing a new clutch. Theres no noises just revinv to the moon with no movement. Please help, thankyou in advanced.

Manual transmissions don't slip. Something is broken in there.

Thats what i was thinking. If the lsd was worn, it would still drive, correct?

A clutch type LSD can wear out and then the car doesn't move.

Could you possibly have a large spline clutch in your small spline trans? I have seen some that way and they will usually work ok for a little bit, but will eventually rpund off the splines on the disk, and the car will not move. Just an idea because as was mentioned before, manual transmissions cant slip (except for clutch style lsd).

Not true. When a clutch type lsd wears out it just turns into an open diff.

Does the speedometer move? If so one or both axles is not seated in the transmission. If the needle doesn't move either something in the transmission is broken or the clutch is bad, the cable is adjusted wrong or possibly the wrong clutch was used.
