Oil change:

Ratchet and 17-mm socket
Torque wrench (33-ft-lbs for drain bolt)
Rags for cleaning oil splatter
Oil drain pan to collect drained oil
Oil filter wrench
Funnel to add fresh oil to engine
Jack to lift front
Jacks for safe support of raised car
Rear wheel chocks

Nope. It's ft-lbs.

That sounds like a really quick way to strip out an oil pan bolt...Remind me, though, was it the Y7 that got the steel pan, and the Y8 got the aluminum pan, or is that the other way around? Or am I maybe confusing the B series motors?

Regardless, point is you don't have to kill the damned thing, just snug it.

Yep

Well, the Honda recommended torque is 33 or 29 ft-lbs. That's not a wimpy torque. I always use a torque wrench, and never had a strip problem or leak.
