Main Relay for a 93 del sol m/t
Just a quick question ok I got my new ecu off ebay today and it work fine but the car still would not start. So I did the 3 loop deal in the main relay harness plug? Where you just loop 3 wires in the bottom 4 hole's.And after doing it that way the car run fine. But you have to leave the wire"s in to keep it running. So some people say I need a new main relay but I bought one off ebay for like 20 buck's then I got another one from a junk yard. Maybe they were both be bad I guess what im asking do I need a oem main relay for like 50 buck's? Is buying a cheap main relay or a used main relay a hit and miss deal ? Thank
I wouldn't think it would be that bad, but if you can loop the wires and have it run then you can reasonably argue the problem does lie within the relay(s). Have you tried to resolder the original OEM relay? And have you tried doing the test procedures on all 3 to make sure all 3 relays actually function as they should?

I tried to re solder the the original main relay but I fried it. And burnt up the ecu too due to a bad soldering job. Ill leave that to the experts lol
I tried testing the main relays and they both work. The one I bought from a junkyard and the one I bought off ebay. Both click when turning the key to the on position. So im thinking I might need a oem main relay for 50$
instead of that cheap 17 dollar one
It would be worthwhile to verify the wiring from the plug then as suggested before you spend any more money. If the relays test out to be working then they should work.
