B16a2 with B18 cams
Hi iv got a b16a2 I lined up on top dead centre on the bottom pulley and on the camshafts the lines were lining up good, then I took the belt off and I put b18c cams in my friend was ******* around with something unsure what but now the cams are like yours half a tooth off, how did you fix this as my cars not letting me rev more then 1500 and I can't do more then 10 mph how did you resolve this as I'm having the issue??

A couple things, a bit more research will fix your issue, vs bumping 5 year old threads.
Secondly, B16 cams > GSR cams on a B16a2, especially considering you likely are running a stock ECU.
Ultimately, keep jacking with it.
I got a ecu just needs mapping it's on itbs it read this thread and it turned out it was the dizzy but the cams still ain't in line on this dudes thread? My dizzy looks pretty much brand new as we'll I marked the dizzy timing to make sure it's not out of timing so I'm confused I can't seem to find a answer
First timers, it will take a while but you mainly need to line the cam markings with the block head. If you notice the engine is kinda tilted forward a little so the up arrows won't help you much here.
Yh but still the lines do mark up it's like half a tooth out ? So it Idles fine but won't drive :/ my Dizzy seems ok to iv lined cams up as close as I can to TDC on bottom pulley
The cam gears are the same for all b-series vtec, there is no difference. Either you have a worn belt, bad tension, or a combination of both.

I'll say what others would think, don't be cheap, its your motor and risking it on a maybe good belt is dumb, I would rather not here after your first vtec hit that you need me valves and pistons
