Check the fuses.

What transmission, manual or auto?

Turn back to the mechanic. If it is after tranny rebuild certainly he forgot to do something.

Is automatic, I took back to the Trans man he showed me he did reconnect the ground and it looked to have a solid connection. Not sure what else and all fuses are good but another mechanic grounded the fuse for the AC and it started but he hasn't had more time to check it out further.

Electrical problems are the worst can happen in a car because you have to check every wire for short or ground and when you find the problem most of the time is a simple fix.

Another thing you can do is download the repair manual, have a multimeter on-hand, and follow the troubleshooting. Honda manuals are great, and these civics are very simple cars and easy to repair.

We do not permit the use of illegally pirated information here on Honda-Tech. The service manual is available from Helms, though: 2001-2004 Civic 2/4 Door Service Manual - Helm Incorporated
