Default DOHC sticker attracts thieves?

Well just bought a 99 Si and I was wondering do the DOHC stickers really attract thieves? Apparently there "PLEASE STEAL ME" decals. Car already has them on. I already ordered an oem Si badge too but contemplating my decision now cause I don't want my car stolen lol. I mean isn't the point of an Si to be proud of it?

Don't sweat it. If its blue or red, most will already assume its an EM1

People are going to look for signs that the car has 'goodies' thats going to work with their base model hatch. EM1, Teg, other base Civic with 'OEM upgrades'.

I live in OH, so I dont have to worry about it in my Civic...but its a good example. It's obviously not an Si...but a "Honda bro" is going to notice holes in the headrest, which is going to get interest.

Security, garage, common sense. Use as many of those as you can in combination and you can sleep at night. The people who might want the car are going to know what it is regardless of the sticker. Spend your time making it inconvenient for them to take it.

someone who has the knowledge of how to steal a honda can spot an SI with or without the stickers... this whole "please steal me" sounds like some folklore a honda owner probably made up

I'm so glad I live an area with this is never a problem.
As the other members said, depending on how bad it is get the proper security to protect your car, **** even insurances will give you discounts for some of it

GUARD IT WITH YOUR LIFE!! Alarm, killswitch, detachable steering wheel, tire lock, flame throwers, attack dogs!! Aha... But for real man any... i mean any slight mod on the appearance will attract thieves. I learned the hard way. Used to have an ej8 with some nice bronze wheels, stickers on the rear windows, a slight drop and some minor mods. This caused it to get stolen . So if you put things on it that attract attention just be sure you have taken the necessary measures in security first. A good alarm and a killswitch. They might still break in but at least you will still have your car!
