Default B17 rod?

Mods, sorry if this is in the wrong sub forum, move if need be.

Im curious if anyone out there may happen to have an oem b17a1 connecting rod laying around? Im in need of one rod, but a set of oems would suffice.

Already exhausted all other options, no one has them in stock. I called one company who had them listed in stock on their website as remaned rods, when i called to inquire, they guy told me 'man, i havent seen a set of those in 8 years.'

Any help is appreciated.

good luck finding them. They are rare because only about 3000 of the b17a1 engine were ever made. Try honda dealer or shops that sell oem parts. You could have them order it maybe.

They had them listed on majestics site, as soon as we called to inquire they marked them as discontinued.

Im aware of how rare this motor is, thats the main reason for trying to preserve it.

What does an OEM set of these rods cost? I have a mint set of OEM and a new set of Crowers I might entertain selling ;-)

Thats the issues, no one knows. You are holding onto stuff that no one really even looks for anymore. They are for a friend, how much would you be looking to get for the oem? Majestic had them listed at 74.99 a piece before they discontinued.

I bought them for a stroker B16 I'd like to assemble. I also have 2 B17 cranks and 2 B16 blocks. took me a while to source them and I'm going to let them go based on their previous cost.

Majestic doesn't even list Acura parts unless the part number crosses because it's an identical part like say a seal or gasket. The rods are more than that bud...

Acura Parts @ AcuraAutomotiveParts.org - Genuine Acura OEM Parts from Acura Carland

Someone had bought the last OEM bottom ends in the country and was trying to sell them for a premium. IIRC they went fairly quickly. The only people really interested are probably purists, but the DA followers are relatively few.
