Default Swap into a CRX need some assistance

I know that there is all sorts of information over the web and i have seen plenty of write ups but nothing specific to my application.

I have a 91 CRX DX that is 100% stock with the DPFI.

I also have an 89 honda civic hatch si running all stock ecu wiring etc. The motor is a SOHC ZC.

I know that the motor will bolt right in my question comes into the wiring. Since i have the complete running hatch it was my hopes that i could Swap the motor from the SI into the DX and because they were the same generations that i could just take the engine and engine harness as well as the ecu from the 89 si and plug that into the appropriate spots of the body harness in the 91 dx.

My hopes were that the body harness might be the same so you could use the same one for all models and just plug the ECU and engine harness for your particular application.

Any help would be appreciated its getting harder to find people locally that still have this knowledge.

If it were that easy, it would have been done a million times already and be the preferred method. If you want to use your Si engine harness in the DX, you must also swap the entire under-dash wiring to go with it. Modifying the DX harness for MPFI is much easier.

Or you can buy a pre-made DPFI to MPFI harness from Monotech. Very OEM looking in case inspections/smog is needed.

The conversion isn't very difficult. The wiring is very simple to complete when following directions.
