I just picked up this EK with a H22 swap, apparently a hole had to be cut to fit the transmission which causes lots of hot air to rush into the cabin. I fabricated a heat box to block the heat from coming into the cabin.

$16 for sheet metal
$12 for heat resistant sealant

This is the result.

Thanks! That was going to be my original route, but I became super paranoid that it would somehow catch fire so I scraped the project and created this.

I'd hit it with a blast of truck bed liner to be 100% positive of no rusting or leaks

 

I see a HUGE headache if you happen to get stopped on the interstate by the Drug Task Force.
