Default B18C2 Experts, help identify this part!

Welcome from Australia, I own the local equivalent of a 95 Integra GSR. Today I removed the sump on my with B18C engine and this mystery item was amongst the oil in the bottom of the pan. Does anyone know if it is an engine part or foreign object? Seems to thin to be a wrist pin clip, seems to be stainless steel, and reference coin is a Australian 5c piece, 0.76 inches diameter. Engine runs fine but I cant stop wondering what it is for, any help appreciated.

Well my first thought is that it resembles a wrist pin clip but just seems too thin, but i do not know the rebuild history of the engine. It is low km so assumed stock internals but anythings possible. If anyone has a wrist pin clip for a honda B18 and and they could measure its diameter I could compare.

Could it be a broken thread from the oil pan drain plug?

The sump threads looked ok and it seems to be stainless wire, with a round cross section. I'm starting to think it was dropped in there accidently at some point.

There is no such part on a stock b series...

The only legitimate source is an aftermarket piston.. Or some random clip that made it way in when the engine was open?!
