dash lights go out unexpectidly????

Did anyone have this happen to them?
My dash lights at times goes out unexpectidly and if I tap at the dimmer switch they come back on....
My friend's Civic had the same problem just wondering what it is and what can be done to remedy it?

its not just the climate control..it is the whole DASH even the speedo and tach area.

Could the dimmer switch itself be BAD? is there a way to test it to find out?

My climate control lights rarely come on in my 93 HB. Same thing happened in my friends 92 HB. And after about 120k, both of our clocks quit working. Mines brand new too. Resets to 1:00 every time I turn the key.
