Ls swapped civic build thread
Hello, so I'm know I'm new to civic's. But I know enough to get by along with a few trusty friends. I have a few question for plans I have like what to do for an exhuast. Or rolling fenders, cambering and slamming it. But for right now I'm looking for a little more power I'm gonna start with exhuast, intake, upgraded dizzy, wires.
So I have 2000 Honda civic ex 4 door with a ls swap. Mostly stock exhaust except for the muffler is chopped off. Now can I use a 2000 Honda si aftermarket exhaust, It comes with the header and back. Or should I get header flex pipe muffler and 2.5" pipe in-between.

you're off to a bad start with those wheels. offset/camber/dumping all NEGATE performance. why would you start an "I want to increase the performance of my car thread" and then spread cheeks and **** all over the idea with the horrible idea of stance? follow the age old addage of "low and slow". if you need to dump your car and reduce the contact patch of your tires by half, keep it slow. no reason to bother.
sorry im not sorry, lol. i road race. safety (in your setup) and its relation to speed are crucial. to be honest, seeing extreme camber on street driven cars pisses me off, as do very stretched tires. kill yourself if you want, but if some idiot fanboi wrecks into me with my kid in the car, they will have bigger issues than an insurance claim. do what you want, but please understand that suspension components, especially on a lowered car, are under extreme pressure and tension. do not cheap out, period.
Its the truth....don't hate when someone points out the obvious. Upgrading the dizzy isn't going to yield you anything but a less money in the bank. The stock oem distributor is capable to handle more power, you're just not thinking the right way of adding power.
You have proven nothing but facts. But as I stated earlier I had just got the car, now that I have driven it for about two weeks or so. I have seen that the steering is not effective as I would like it to be mind you there not to much camber, the rear wheels look to be really cambered in the pic. I will be ordering coilovers for it soon and a camber kit if necessary. I understand that the contact patch of the tire is reduced because of camber. Also this isn't gonna be a race car, I gonna build it to be a nice looking DD that has a little more under the hood then people believe. The tires are 195/45r15 on 8 in wide xxr's. So the stretch is not ridiculous although there is some but not enough to negate Any preformance from the tire. Now that is cleaned up, my car seems sluggish mid to high range rpm, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe a more free flowing exhaust would help and seeming there's no exhaust that are bolt on for a ls swapped civic. I could use some help on what can I do. I understand the I could use a SI exhaust. But I have a four door and not sure if the hanger would line up correctly. I'm not positive if SI came four door I have yet to find any exhaust systems for a four door SI. I've had searched hear but have not found anything concrete. Any positive feedback would be appreciated.

Yeah stretching a 195/45 onto and 8" wheel won't negate any performance from the tire....
