Clarification on the rear 4-cyl engine mount
[EDIT] My apologies, I am what I deride, please forgive this waste of space on the page.
The rear mount on my H22A-swapped 96 EX is a little torn. I'm buying the proper driver's side mount to fix the vibration, and an ESP insert kit is on the way for the front. I'm also buying Beck/Arnley because Anchor seems not to be too good a brand and I will buy Hasport/Innovate before I pay for the OEM parts.
I'm just wondering; the DX/LX mount is often referred to as being stronger than the EX mount. I'm looking at photos of the two on RockAuto and the EX mount looks to be a large bell of rubber, while the DX/LX mount is similar to the trans mount. Is this because the EX mount is oil-filled? Also, what is with the big rubber horns on top of the DX/LX mount?
